This morning just as the sun began to peak its head above the tree line I hopped on my bicycle and began to peddle to work. The light sparkled through the autumn leaves which are just beginning to change colors it hit my eyes at the perfect angle that warmed my face without blocking my vision. The strong breeze gently blew across my body. I felt in sync; in tune with nature and with my well tuned machine beneath my legs. It felt wonderful to know that a whole day of potential lie ahead. My first day of general orthopedics was today. New preceptors, new surgeries, new information to learn....new chance to prove my skill and human connection.
