ouch ouch ouch

Has anyone ever seen a nail taken off? Has anyone lost a nail?

I felt like I was witnessing a POW being tortured in a holding camp today. Well, not really, I mean the guy was out cold from general anesthesia but it still looked horrifying. It was shocking how EASILY nails come off! You just slide a blunt end of a sterile instrument under the nail, and push. pull out, push under, pull out, push back in. lift up and wiggle. Then simply pull the nail out from the nail bed and cut the edges of the nail that didnt want to budge.

OUCH!

just remember to leave the germinal matrix intact (cool anatomy word huh?)
