I am winding down at the hospital with my last two days as a PA here. It feels exciting to be looking ahead at the next steps of our life together, but it also feels good to look back at this last year and realize that I really do love practicing medicine, and one person really can make a difference. It is amazing and humbling to take a step back and realize that you have seen over 1000 patients, listened to their stories, calmed their fears, changed their lives. It is also much easier to look back and see only the good.... which is quite refreshing right now.
It is time to leave. One more clinic.
