I feel inspired today.
I just got turned down from one of the most fabulous jobs I applied for, but I am not giving up on it quite yet. They wanted more experience, 2-5 years, someone to lead the department, someone with more leadership experience, more specific peds experience... and perhaps that isn't me, but perhaps it is? How can they know before we talk face to face, before they ask me questions, before I tell them about my leadership experience? How do they know before I tell them about the leadership I took on in college, in PA school, my strengths, what I have done already in my 1.5 years? I know it could definitely be a role I could excel in, a role I would be motivated to show up full force, totally present every single day, a position that I feel passtionate about and put throw my heart into- Peds Trauma. I plan to call the HR dept back in the next 2 days, and set up a meeting to ask for some mentorship on how to strengthen my application.
I have been cold calling HR departments today, and it feels pretty invigorating.... taking the bull by the horns, ya know?
I have a 2nd interview set up!
Things are starting to roll...
